Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1. Arrive Beijing

You will be greeted by our Beijing tour guide and transferred to check in at your luxurious hotel where you are at your leisure to relax and enjoy the evening.


Day 2. Beijing (AB, L, D)

This morning, you will sight-see Tiananmen Square, which is noted as the largest public square in the world and then the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. A Hutong tour will be arranged after lunch, the most prominently in Beijing they have been well preserved offering the visitor an authentic experience.  In the evening, your included welcoming dinner will feature the famous Peking Duck and wine.


Day 3. Beijing (AB, L)

The Great Wall of China is one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world and is definitely the focal point of China. You will hike along the Great Wall (Juyongguan Pass). After that, visit the Temple of Heaven, an imperial complex of religious buildings. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer for good harvest.

Day 4. Beijing / Xian (AB) 

Visit the Summer Palace, which served as a royal retreat from the mid-18th Century. It consists of Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake and dozens of classic buildings and gardens all covering an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers. If time allows, we drive by the Bird’s Nest, the National Stadium where the 2008 Summer Olympics took place before we transfer to the airport and fly to Xi’an, one of the ancient cities of China.

Day 5. Xian (AB, L, D)

Xi'an City Wall with Bicycle for 1.5 hour. It's the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang unified China and became the first emperor. When he died, an entire Terra Cotta Army was constructed to be buried along with the emperor. It was uncovered serendipity in 1974 by farmers, and then became one of the century's greatest archaeological discoveries. You will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, and Terra Cotta Army replication factories. We continue with a stroll along the streets in the nearby Muslim Quarter where nearly 300 kinds of local foods and snacks are presented.

Day 6. Xian / Zhangjiajie (AB, L) 

A visit to one of the predominant structures  of Xi’an, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda which was built one thousand years ago. We continue with a stroll along the streets in the nearby Muslim Quarter where nearly 300 kinds of local foods and snacks are presented. After lunch, we transfer back to the city to visit the Shaanxi History Museum, one of the largest provincial museums in China housing over 370,000 historical items. Fly to Zhangjiajie. The private tour guide will greet you at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.


Day 7. Zhangjiajie (AB, L, D)

This morning, you will visit the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain, which is praised to be the soul of Zhangjiajie. It is also known as Heaven Gate Mountain due to a large natural ark and many Chinese people believe that Tianmen Mountain is the “Closest Landmark to God” from earth. You will take the cable car to the mountain top and explore the best scenic spots (Glass Skywalk, Guigu Plank Road, and Tianmen Temple), and then take the bus down on 99-bend road.

Day 8. Zhangjiajie (AB, L, D)

Today, you will take Bailong Elevator up to explore Yuanjiajie, where the Avatar Mountain locates. Yuanjiajie is also called AVATAR Mountain where the backdrop of the movie, AVATAR, was inspired by. It is a natural platform mountain surrounded by higher summits which are divided by deep valleys. You will definitely enjoy Avatar/Hallelujah Mountain! After lunch, visit Tianzi Mountain and take the cable car down. 


Day 9. Zhangjiajie / Shanghai (AB, L)

After breakfast, you will enjoy Lijun Shen Sandstone Art Gallery which using nature materials by making use of the hue of natural plant creatively, are of great art and collection values. Visit Xibu Shopping street before heading to the airport for Shanghai.

Optional: Zhangjiajie Glass Bottom Bridge ($80 per person)

Day 10. Shanghai (AB)

The highlights of today's sightseeing tour include the Yuyuan Garden, which was first built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. The garden was the largest and most prestigious of the era in Shanghai. Our next stop is Shanghai Museum, which was founded in 1952 and was first open to the public in the former Shanghai Racecourse club house. Rebuilt at its current location in 1996, Shanghai Museum is considered one of China’s first world-class, modern museums. Then we visit Shanghai's old Street, the colonial styled Bund and the Nanjing Road

Optional: Huang Pu River Cruise (Night panorama of the Bund) ($49 per person) or Acrobatic Show.


Day 11. Shanghai (AB )

Today is free for leisure or last minutes shopping.

Or chose our Zhujiajiao one days tour ($99 per person) 

You will be picked up on your hotel in the morning around 800 and tour Zhujiajiao. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is a town with over 1,000 years of history featuring rivers, bridges, old streets and gardens. Small rivers crisscross the town with 36 old bridges on them. Over 1,000 houses first built in Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911) stand along both sides of nine narrow streets. There are famous sights like Fangsheng Bridge, Baoguo Temple, town god's temple and Zhuxi Garden, offering different kinds of photo opportunities.

Highlight of the tour includes a traditional sampan ride on the canals with about 20 minutes and at least four highlighted spots: Kezhi Garden,Tongtianhe Medicine Shop,Qing Dynasty Post Office and Yuanjin Meditation Room. Lunch will be in a local restaurant in the town. Then transfer to Seven Treasures Town which is famous for its old streets. You will be transferred back to the port in the later afternoon at around 5pm.

Day 12. Shanghai / Departure (AB)

Our tour guide and driver will see you off at the airport after the breakfast. Finish your spectacular China tour today.
